I bought this adapter to replace the proprietary PSU in my Huawei MateStation S with a standard TFX power supply. It worked perfectly, and I’m very happy with the result.
What I especially appreciate is that MODDIY seems to offer a solution for a problem that is otherwise extremely difficult to solve. There are plenty of adapters for Lenovo proprietary connectors, but finding a suitable adapter for Huawei MateStation systems was practically impossible. MODDIY was the only company I found that offered a solution specifically for this situation.
Thanks to this adapter, I was able to use a regular Chieftec TFX PSU instead of buying another proprietary Huawei PSU. The standard PSU cost me around $50, and the MODDIY adapter was about $20. The alternative would have been spending nearly $200 on another proprietary PSU of questionable quality — or even rebuilding the entire PC.
So this adapter is not just a convenient cable; it makes it possible to extend the life of an otherwise perfectly usable computer with a proprietary power supply.
