If you install the EVGA Hybrid kit on one of the EVGA card that have the iCX coolers (asynchronous fans), the connector will have to go to the right-bottom mini-gpu connector. That, for those card, can only be controlled via EVGA Precision XOC - a terrible software.

This extension, alas, comes into play. I was able to extend that connector for the pump and little Power-component fan into the GPU's mini-gpu header (bottom-right corner). It works perfectly by default, and I can now use MSI's Afterburner software without any issues (couldn't before because it cannot control any other mini-gpu headers that are not the main one for the GPU).
